Last night, someone broke into my friend's house and stole the older Pekinese dog she was providing foster care for. Gizmo had been given up by her elderly ownder after 12 years and she was supposed to go to an adoption event tomorrow. She is incredibly sweet and gentle. She is deaf and 12 so I'm afraid once they realize that she's not sell-able, Gizmo will be in danger. The news is running a segment about it tonight. I thought I would post it here as well in case any Durham-ites might see her or happen to know something. Irene, the foster mother, is beside herself and so am I.
